In scientific, yet easy to understand terminology, Deborah Martin presents theories and practical applications to help beginning herbalists on their path of herbal exploration. Martin will share tips and tidbits from her recently published book, Herbs: Medicinal, Magical, Marvelous, and will take questions from a pre-recorded live audience at the end. 

You will learn how to safely use herbs at home, recipes for several easy medicinal and magical preparations, and specific information about five herbs you probably already have.

Deborah 'DJ' Martin is a Master Herbalist, ACHS graduate, and author of three books: Baneful! 95 of the World's Worst HerbsA Green Witch's Formulary (recommended reading for ACHS class HERB 302), and Herbs: Medicinal, Magical, Marvelous! She's a delightful speaker, and comes highly recommended from those who have attended her presentations!

This course consists of:

  • Approximately one or more hours of lecture video.

  • A quiz to certify your knowledge of the material.

  • Upon successful completion, a downloadable certificate of completion.

  • Continuing Education Credit (CEU*), for which ACHS will maintain a record.



    • Pay the CEU processing fee ($25)

    • Watch the lecture video (approximately 60 minutes).

    • Pass the short CEU assessment quiz with a score of 80% or higher on your first attempt to demonstrate successful acquisition of knowledge.

    • After you register, you will have access to a student dashboard where you can download your CEU certificates and transcripts for successfully completed courses.
